<title>28/04/2012 - Dance Make Your Move</title>
<description>Dance: Make Your Move - Registration now open!!!

I'd like to invite your dance group to take part in Dance: Make Your Move and help support the work of the British Red Cross. Registration is now OPEN for the 2012 Liverpool event. Due to popular demand, the British Red Cross are holding a 2 day event in Liverpool at Liverpool Lighthouse in Anfield, Liverpool on 28 & 29 April 2012.

Who can take part?
Anyone aged 4-18 can take part, regardless of their ability. Primary, secondary and special schools, colleges, youth groups and disabled groups are all welcome – it’s for anyone who likes to dance.

Who will I be competing against?
There are two age groups: a junior group for ages 4-11 and a senior group for ages 12-18.

When and where?
Liverpool events take place on 28 and 29 April - (Junior groups on Saturday 28th April and Senior groups on Sunday 29th April.) Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, then the winners perform at a regional heat to be held at the Palace Theatre in Redditch. Finalists then go on to perform at the IndigO2 at the O2 in London, haw amazing is that! Last year we had 2 groups who competed from our Area in the National Final - Urban Street Stars from Kirkby and Dancejax from Manchester and they both did fantastic!

How do I enter?
Fill out the registration form online for a ten per cent discount on the registration fee www.redcross.org.uk/dance. Alternatively, return the form by post, with your non-refundable £20 registration fee, to your local Dance: Make Your Move co-ordinator Alexis Fairclough. Cheques should be made payable to British Red Cross and sent to me Liverpool Office as per the address at the foot of this email.

What about the dance?
All groups create a dance routine between three and eight minutes long based on the Red Cross’ work – that could be anything from first aid to child soldiers to the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

What about the fundraising?
We ask all groups to raise at least £50 for the Red Cross, which will help save and change lives in the UK and overseas. There are awards for all fundraising achievements over £100.

Will you help me?
I am your dedicated Dance: Make Your Move co-ordinator and I am more than happy to help with fundraising ideas and creating your dance. Your teacher’s pack and the planning your dance ( http://www.redcross.org.uk/Get-involved/Events/Dance-Make-Your-Move/Planning-your-dance ) section of the website is also full of resources, ideas and advice.

At the event
 What happens at the event?
Rehearsals take place in the afternoon and the performance itself follows in the early evening. Parents and friends can buy tickets in advance.

Are there awards?
A panel of judges selects a junior and senior winner who go on to the area final. The junior and senior winners from each area final go on to compete at the UK national final at the IndigO2 at the O2 in London. Every group gets a commendation award for the best part of their dance.
The two winning groups of Dance: Make Your Move 2012 will each receive a workshop from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in the dance style of their choice, either at the RAD headquarters in London or at their school site. The winning teachers will also receive a free RAD Friend of the Academy membership and goodie bag of RAD products. Thank you to the RAD for their kind donation of these prizes.

PLUS any group signing up will receive two free tickets to Move It 2012. Move It is the UK’s biggest festival of dance for dance students, teachers and enthusiasts, it takes place between 9 and 11 March 2012 at Olympia in London.

Please register now to take part! For more information visit the website www.redcross.org.uk/dance or call me on 0151 702 5061.

Thank you for your support,

Alexis

<title>25/02/2012 - inner peace workshop</title>
<description>There is a happiness that comes from what's happening on the external level, and there is another happiness that comes from a feeling that comes from the place inside ourselves, Where is that contentment?
It already exists within us. We may spend thousands of pounds trying to alter our behaviour, and yet it is so easy. Be content and our behaviour automatically alters. Outlook? Positive..

You are warmly invited to the attend our informative free presentations about inner contentment.
Peacepool are a not for profit local group.
